| Why am I an artist? Though working as an artist for many years, this question has always been on my mind. After much thought, I realized "I just love creating." My media business work experience and my life experience, combined with my sensual DNA memory, created the excitement and tension that characterize my work. When I feel images arising within me, I impulsively like to create those images in my art. I am an artist simply because I love to create and this is in my nature. In the media business, I use my talent for my living but I also learn living wisdom. Living and creating are linked together for me, and it is out of these that my art comes. This is my ideal life. Sometimes, in business, we have conflicts, but works of art unconsciously speak to people without words. Art has the primitive communication potential. Therein lies beauty's simplicity. Every day of my life, I try to express my feelings in my creations using my techniques, tools and senses. I exist and I arrived in this world and in this century. To answer the question "Why am I an artist? " I continue creating my art works and these are returned to society. All of my creation is using me as a filter to create and these creations are part of my imagination world's fragments. In the future I want to create unified works of art, but now, as I make fragmented experimental works, I am having fun. The great moment will be when the people who view my art will be moved, touched and inspired by it. Isao Hayashi |
