[TOMO] is a Japanese family-style restaurant in Mukojima, Tokyo, which specializes in okonomiyaki, monjyayaki, and Teppan style cooking. I handled the total coordination of the business when it was starting up. The design and construction of this restaurant was based on a wooden-style building from 100 years ago, and the interior design is neo-japanesque style. The total concept is the completely new style of Japanese beauty [blending of the new in old] that will last for the next 100 years.
We handled the complete production of this business from lighting, interior & exterior, outside signs, and restrooms, and including the menu, china,BGM etc. A design work based on graphic designing, and the collaboration of professional work done by the electrician, the technician, the construction personnel, the painter, and the nursery peo-ple gave a tremendous effect to the art direction of this restaurant. We provided 15 channels of adjusting lights to enable delicate lighting adjustments to enhance the ap-preciation of the great quality of delicacies served. We are involved in management consulting as well, and have communicated aggressively with the clients to provide ne-cessary management planning as well as promotions and advertising to continuously increase sales and solidify the growth of this establishment.
